When I was an 18 year old (male) I was working the summer performing lawn and garden care for neighbors before heading off to College. One of my customers was a 40-50 year old woman who always took a active interest in my work and loved sitting me down after each visit and served a cold lemonade or soft drink. After the first visit she asked me many questions about girlfriends and if there was anything serious. I was a bit uncomfortable discussing this with her because I always had been a little shy. She was very easy to talk to and we finally ended up talking about high school girl friends and "what kids were doing these days". I admitted that I did not know what women wanted and she suggested that she could help me out ... the seduction had started.
The next visit she told me a little about herself and gave me a description of what feminism was and sent me home with a number of books she said she would like for me to read during the summer and we could discuss them. The books were: "Hite Report" by Shere Hite and "My Secret Garden" by Nancy Friday. She suggested I browse the books to get familiar with them and under no circumstances let my parents know about, "our little discussions and book club".
After I got home I was fixated with the context in these books. These books described sex in a uncensored and open manner, they instantly cause me arousal. I had never encountered this type of information (1975 pre internet). The books were also focused on healthy sexuality with no shame. I was looking forward to our next discussion and fretting it because I had never talked openly about such things and especially with a mature woman.
The next visit was interesting, she asked me what I thought of the books and I said I was a little embarrassed to talk about them. She said, "Be honest, have you ever had sexual intercourse"? I was a veteran of heavy petting with friends so I said, "No." She said it was impossible to have sex if you can not talk about it. She asked me, "If a hands on sex education class was something I would like to learn." I said I would welcome any help she would offer.
Our first lesson was talking about how to be respectful and non judgmental to all people. We talked about body image, ego, and the meaning of the word "no" in any intimate situation. We talked about the female body and the male body and she suggested we remove our clothes and learn by seeing and touch. We spent the summer going through 'classes' and exploring every aspects to human sexuality in bed and discussions. She insisted I focus on my partner, no selfishness, equality. She used to say, "You have a cock, two hands, a tongue, lips .... use them all." Sex was not just intercourse: it was cunnilingus, nipple play, anal stimulation, fingering, toys, masturbation, etc. She taught me to listen to my partner. She taught me not me performance orientated, be comfortably uninhibited, and enjoy the 5 senses of intimacy: touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. To this day I love the scent of sex under the covers and languid sessions of pheromonal laden cunnilingus.
I am forever grateful to her patience, it has served myself and my partners well over the many years. I applauded this forum and remember her words, "If you can not talk about it you can not do it." As a 65 year old male I have many stories to tell but not sure people wish to hear about them. I am open to adding my experiences if there is interest. Later in life I ended up as a artistic model which resulted in meeting many amaizing people.
