It's zucchini season in Southern Ontario now. Over the next few weeks this abundant and inexpensive squash will be plentiful and constantly growing in larger and larger sizes. I buy three or four at each shopping trip, selecting them for 'feel.' I wash them in dishwashing detergent, rinse them, and let them air-dry.
