I ran out of time but please let me finish the story.It took quite a while for me to come down after that experience (I think I may have nodded off for a while) and I lay there for several minutes thinking about what had just happened. On removing the mask and headset I looked around, only to find I was alone in the room. I cleaned up before taking a long, relaxing shower, put on some casual clothes and made my way back to the family room. I was surprised to see Nicky and her friend, Jan, were enjoying, what appeared to be, a fun conversation. They stopped talking when they noticed me but whatever it was about must have been amusing for both of them had wide grins and an occasional giggle would escape. When I self-consciously asked what they were discussing they looked up with wide eyed innocence and said,"Oh, nothing", but continued to smile.Was it Nicky who had been watching in the bedroom ? Was it Jan ? Were both of them involved ? I never found out. When I asked questions later the reply from Nicky was always the same. "We played for a bet. I won and you had to pay. That's all you need to know." But there was always a little twinkle in her eye which keeps me wondering to this day. I could never broach the subject with Jan without giving away details of our little private games.
