As newlyweds, we had arranged to buy a relative’s 1920s house. It was my great aunt’s house. She had never married and lived next door to my great, grandmother for decades and it was decided that they would live together so she could take care of her elderly mom. She even left it furnished for us. Dining room set, queen bed, night stands, lamps, dressers and such.
Married about a month and going at it “like rabbits”, we were again having one of our passionate and exhausting weekends in bed. While in the missionary position; fucking, moaning and sweating away (and loving it) in the steamy old wood frame house in August with no central a/c... the foot of the bed frame broke. That end of the bed and us crashed to the floor.
It had never seen such action I guess.
We were initially stunned and didn’t move for a moment. Started to laugh, looked at each other, kissed and then kept right on going!
PS. We figured out that my relatives must have been sitting on their front porch.... heard us AND the crash. Because within just a few days, the whole family knew about us breaking the bed.
It was said to my husband, “an ole lady bed wasn’t meant to handle newlyweds”.
Embarrassing-definitely!

Did it change anything - just that we needed a new bed and went up to a king size.
