8. We've all heard of the stop-start method for edging.  It's when you stop masturbating as you feel yourself getting close to orgasm and then start stroking again after the urge to climax subsides.  I call this the stop-look-start method.  Begin by getting a hand mirror or a make-up mirror ready and place it beside you within easy reach.  Work yourself up to the plateau stage slowly and gradually.  At the moment when you would normally stop to do a start-stop, do it.  But rather than just stop and wait, stop and reach over to get your mirror.  Place it between your legs to look at your vulva as it is in a state close to orgasm.  Admire it in its fully aroused, swollen, and glistening glory.  Because of this visual stimulation, it will take longer (sometimes much longer) for your arousal level to decrease to the point where you can start masturbating again.  Hang in there, and enjoy the view.  Resist finishing yourself off right then and there.  When it is safe to begin stimulation again, put your mirror aside and continue stroking until the next time you are ready for a stop-look-start.   9. This is less of a technique rather than a state of mind during a masturbatory edge.  When I've aroused myself for an extended period without allowing orgasm, I get the female equivalent of blue balls.  My lower abdomen aches in a way that feels like mild period cramps.  I focus on that ache and savor the pressure and sensation of it.  This ache may come while I'm still indulging in porn even before I've started the masturbatory act.  It can come during a long bout of foreplay.  I have it more often than not while I'm masturbating in earnest.  I love how it feels!  I love knowing that it's here because I'm edging myself well.  The second stage of female blue balls took me a while to get used to and enjoy, but it's growing on me.  In extremely long lead ups to orgasm, I will feel the ache in both my lower abdomen and in the internal structures of my clitoris that are right below either side of my labia majora.  For many years, I disliked this second stage and would make sure I orgasmed before I reached it because it was painful, but I'm starting to like it.  Because I've started to tolerate and like it, this now means that a whole new zone of edging pleasure is open to me!
