Locker Room Surprise

It was right after Saturday morning masters swim practice. I found myself the last male swimmer showering in the men’s locker room.  Most of the other swimmers had already dressed and deaparted. A few remained chatting out by the front desk in the pool’s lobby. I could hear their banter as I stepped out of the shower.

I was just getting done drying myself off when I heard a familiar voice calling from the pool area into the doorway of the men’s locker room.

“Nate?  Nate?” 

The voice belonged to Dawn, one of the middle aged female swimmers on the masters team. Her teenage son, Nathan, swam on the local high school team and occasionally trained with us in the master’s group.  Dawn was apparently looking for him but Nate had already finished showering and was waiting out in the lobby with the others.

Dawn’s voice again inquired into the men’s locker room: “Nate, are you in there?”  She must have been standing just outside the doorway because her voice was loud. The sound filled the locker room.

Of course, her voice was normally loud anyhow. A career supervisor nurse at the local hospital, Dawn was a fixture for the town’s swim team. She wasn’t the fastest swimmer on our team but she was an outspoken, loud, and brassy cheerleader type of personality. “Nate, are you in there?” the voice of Dawn reverberated around the empty locker room again.

I said nothing but was puzzled by her persistence. Didn’t she realize Nate was dressed and out in the lobby like everyone else?

Finally Dawn spoke up. “Have you seen Nate?” she asked, as if this were nothing more than a casual poolside encounter between swim team mates. She seemed to be utterly unaware of my nudity.

“I…I… think he’s out front with the others,” I stammered in reply, not knowing what else to say. I had no idea why she was lingering here chatting with me. 

Meanwhile, the appearance of this brazen woman sporting a bikini in the steamy warmth of the locker room quickly had its effect on me. I began to get hard. Fast.
