I have read many techniques on this site, I have to add one of mine, of which there are many. I use an empty tube of caulk, making sure it's very clean. Just snip the very tip off, not too much. Take the open end and warm it over an open flame just enough to soften it, place it on any hard surface , push down on it, this will cause the open end to curl up so the edge isn't sharp.
