Friends Just Know

It just amazes me how friends know when something is up, when you need something and what you need without even saying anything. Whether they are almost 1500 miles away or right beside you. 

My week has been full of ups and downs, I had something I needed to talk about but really didn't want to talk about it or more - so didn't know how to go about talking about it, so I basically shut myself off from the world for a couple of days. 

I usually talk to Kristine and Bethany several times a day everyday, but for the last couple of days I had been quiet, only talking when I had too and they knew something was bothering me. 

On Wednesday (Valentine's day) at about 10:30 am Bethany texted me and said there would be a car at my house to pick me up at 6pm and I'd better be ready to go out. That's all she said, didn't give any details anything. 

I knew they had a sunset dinner cruise planned for that evening and then Bethanny was leaving town the next day with her sister for a few day so I knew they weren't coming to town (or at least thought that was the case). I wasn't sure what to expect with these 2 because they are liable to do anything. 

Finally I get a hold of Kristine and in the background I can tell she's in an airport. Evidently she was planning on flying up this weekend to surprise me anyway but when they figured out something was up Bethany told her she couldn't wait and booked her flight to come that day instead. 

Now that is true friendship, give up your plans on Valentine's day because you know your friend needed you. I just love these 2 amazing women. 

At 6pm the car is there to pick me up. When I get to the restaurant Kristine is standing there waiting on me with a single red rose and the biggest hug I have ever had. 

We have dinner and drinks while catching up, after we eat we go into the restaurants lounge and listen to the music and have a few more drinks. Then Kristine suggests we see if we can get in for massages at the place 2 doors down.

We get our massages and then head back to my place around 11pm.

We have a few more drinks, talk (even getting Bethany on speakerphone), laugh and cry but all in all it was a great evening I wasn't expecting but glad it happened. 

My apartment is only one bedroom so Kristine will be sleeping with me and this will be a good time to say all morning I had been playing around with someone through messages, getting myself hornier than hell planning on waiting until later to get myself off really good. But because of the way the afternoon unfolded I never got the chance to do that. 

Finally about 3 am we decide we better get some sleep so we go to bed. Now I am still hornier than hell but what I really need right now is a friend and not a lover. Somehow Kristine knew exactly what I needed and just cuddled me in her arms and we went to sleep. 

Thursday we just lounge around my house, going out for brunch and then coming back for the rest of the day. Later that evening Kristine cooks supper, we open a bottle (or 3 lol) of wine and just talk. 

About 10 pm Kristine suggests we take our showers and call it an evening to which I agree. 

As we are getting ready to go to bed I am thinking to myself damn I'm still horny as hell but really don't want to make love. Again, Kristine seems to know exactly what I'm thinking and exactly what I need. 

She walks up to me at the edge of the bed, kisses me on the cheek as she grabs the hem of my t shirt and says "I want you to let me do all the work, you just lay there and enjoy it".

She takes her shirt off too and lays down beside me "just close your eyes, think about anything you want this is all about you and only you" she says. 

She starts gently running her hands all over my body, softly kissing my lips, my cheeks, nibbling on my ears, flicking my nipples with her tongue between her lips, I mean doing everything I love and doing it so gently and caring. This is exactly what I needed tonight.

I'm not sure how this happens but it just amazes me how really good friends always seem to know when you need something and almost always seem to know exactly what you need. 

I just want to thank the 2 best friends I could ever ask for from the bottom of my heart for everything they do for me. I never expected you to give up your special plans on such a special day just to make me feel better, but I'm glad you did.
