For the last few years since me daughter became college age her and would pick out a few days during her summer break and spend 2 nights at a resort area about 100 miles from us.  

It's not exactly what I would call an action packed adventure but we enjoy it , The days usually consist of breakfast, hang out at the pool until 3 or 4 , get cleaned up and shop until 7 or 8 ,dinner then back to the room and share a bottle of wine on the balcony, 

So this year was no different, We found a couple of mid week days that worked and set out.
