Mailbox Icons Says One New Message When There Are None

For a few weeks now, the mailbox icon in the upper right hand corner of the page has been showing a red "1", indicating I have one new message. However, in my mailbox, I actually have none. Is there any way to clear that false indication?

Have you tried clicking on that notifier in the upper right corner? That should link you to your mailbox and clear the notice in the process.

I have, but it doesn't clear the new message notification. It links to the mailbox correctly though.

I've even emptied my inbox, but it's still showing me one new message.

I have the same and I know others do too. It seems to happen if, when you get that red flag notification you go to your mailbox to read the message rather than click on the envelope icon and then go to the message from there. The odd thing is, I now only have it on some pages (like Forums for instance) but not on others (like the home page). Not sure what the remedy is though.....

Hi! I was just talking about that to our dev. iWhile this doesn't affect the mail function at all, t is fairly annoying. I'll see what he can do about it.
