I have ED problems and have had for 10 years now. I am over 70 years of age. I went to my doctor and was given a prescription for Viagra which as a pensioner here in the UK I get free of charge. I get 8 tabs per month so 2 per week. Whilst they do work I don't get as hard as I used to nor as stiff. I can't always maintain my erection but if I do it can take me up to 2 hours of masturbating to reach orgasm. My orgasm's are not as strong as they used to be but still really nice but i don't spurt anymore and often my orgasm's are dry with no semen. I have had test's but nothing wrong with me so I think it's just an age related thing with me.

I found taking a vitamin B complex and vitamin D tablet has helped me a lot. I noticed a difference within just a few days and slowly over several weeks or couple of months, it helped a lot.

Although I do not have difficulty getting hard, as I have aged it is difficult to maintain that hardness. I tried Viagra and it works but I do not like some of the side effects. Now I am using Cialis and it is much better: I get as hard as I used to as a teen and can maintain the erection much longer. It is a wonderful help in my masturbation play. Now, if I could only find a willing partner to try it with...

As I have aged (just turned 70), I have noticed that I sometimes loose my erection for no apparent reason. It is frustrating because I want to continue masturbating until I orgasm. I picked up some silicon cock rings. When I feel I'm about to go soft, I slip on a ring with some lube. I really works well for me as my cock gets nice and hard and stays that way allowing me to stroke away until shooting my load. I only use them when necessary as I don't want to become dependent on them when masturbating.

I’m 64 and have a bit of experience that might be helpful. I really like viagra/sildenafil but it took a while to stop having unwanted side effects. At first I felt kind of spacey, I think because of the way blood flow in my brain might have been affected, and erections and organs seemed a bit off base. Hard to describe exactly how but it felt unnatural, which I guess in a sense it was.

I tried free samples of Cialis and liked it a bit better, but later came back to sildenafil. This time I liked it a lot better. The side effects were gone and the erections and orgasm feel like they used to.

So for those who don’t like the way ED medicine makes you feel, it’s possible that persistence will pay off.

In a separate post I might discuss health benefits that have been found for sildenafil users aside from improved sexual performance. It is so cheap now in the U.S. that I try to take it routinely even if I don’t intend to have sex or masturbate. Many chain pharmacies offer it at very low prices as a loss leader, so it pays to shop around. And the online teledocs that advertise will prescribe it in a heartbeat unless you have a clear contraindication, which is uncommon.
