A compendium on all the different was to have sex in Germany....and also Amsterdam.

If you have a trip to Europe planned in your future, make sure that you make certain cities in Germany as part of your itinerary.

Attitudes toward sex have always been a lot more relaxed in Europe than in the United States. Although some countries seem to be more tolerant than others, Germany appears to be the most tolerant. Stay away from Scandinavia (except Denmark) as they have been tightening up on what’s permitted.

The big change in Germany took place in 2002 when prostitution was made legal. Since then prostitution has become even more widely available than in the past. Here are some various examples of the different ways that prostitution takes place in Germany.

1.   Bars. Women attempt to induce men to buy pricey drinks along with sexual services. The actual sex takes place in a separate building and the bar owner sets the prices and shares the payments with the prostitute.

2.   Eros Centers. An Eros Center can be a house or a street where women can rent small one-room apartments for 80 to 150 Euros a day. (80 Euros is about $94 US.) Prices are set by the girl and run 250-500 Euros for short time sex. The owner of the home or room does not share in the fee. The largest Eros Center is Pascha in Cologne, a 12-story building with 120 rooms for rent and several bars.

3.   Apartment Prostitution. Just what it sounds like. Rooms run by a single women or group of roommates. Usually advertised in local newspapers.

4.   Partytreffs and Pauschalclubs. These are partner swapping swing clubs with paid prostitutes as well as amateur women and couples. Single men pay a flat rate entrance fee of 80 to 150 Euros which includes food, drink and unrestricted sexual activities with the requirement that sex must be performed in full view of all the guests. Women pay a much lower entrance fee or sometimes nothing.

5.   FKK Sauna Clubs. These are more upscale brothels in big houses or buildings. Often with a swimming pool and sauna. A large “meet and greet” room with a bar and buffet is on the ground floor with bedrooms on upper floors. The female sex workers are usually totally nude with only high heels. In some facilities they are just topless. Men and women both pay an entrance fee of 35 to 70 Euros. Some clubs admit couples. The largest of the FKK Clubs are found in Frankfurt, Berlin, Giessen and Bad Homburg, as well as other cities.

6.   Escort Services. Same as Outcall sex in the U.S.

7.   Street Prostitution. This is basically the same as anyplace else in the world.

All of the above are subjected to government rules and regulations including the requirement that condoms must be used at all times. Supposedly there are 400,000 sex workers in Germany, many of whom are from central and eastern Europe. According to one study, 90% of sex workers in Germany are victims of sex trafficking. This seems to be extremely high and possibly questionable.

The age of consent in Germany is only 14. There is a “close-in-age” clause with a three year age range. That means a 15 year old could legally have sex with a 12 year old.

Here is some info about one of Berlin’s “All-You-Can-Fuck” Brothels. It’s called the King George and for the modest fee of $135 US  you can get there at opening time of 4 PM and stay until dawn. You can drink as much as you like and fuck any of the 27 women who work there as often as you want. There are about a  half dozen of these flat rate brothels in Berlin and many others throughout Germany. One study claims that the average customer fucks 2.7 women per visit. Some of these girls will get fucked as many as 20 times in one night.

The “flat rate” clubs (Item 4 above) come in two varieties: Partytreff and Pauschalclub.

The key difference can be seen from the fact that Partytreff has the word 'party' in its name.

Pauschal

No music, food or alcohol.

Action generally takes place in the private rooms.

Non-lively atmosphere.

Partytreff

Music, food and alcohol (so whereas Pauschal has the concept of fuck-as-much-as-you-like for the one fee. Partytreff takes this idea further with free food and drink also provided for the fee).

Some action may take place behind closed doors but some group behavior is to be expected from time to time. Typically with everyone meeting up in a gangbang room for group sex periodically or the girls playing with the guys in the lounge in between sex sessions.

The accent is on the party rather than just picking a girl and going to the room. So the girls are often dancing to the music or putting on little shows from time to time.

"Pauschal" means "flat-rate". In other words it is a brothel where you pay one fixed price upon entering and then you do not have to pay the girls individually for their services.

Some have private rooms, some have only public rooms, some have a mixture. In some the girls run around naked, in others they are dressed in lingerie or swimwear or in normal clothes. None of this is essential. "Flat-rate" is what differentiates this type of brothel from the others.

Here is additional info on how the girls get paid at the places where you pay one fee and then can fuck as many girls as you want.

Again, there are some forums online where these places are discussed at great length. It turns out that the club keeps track of how many guys a girl fucks and then pays her based on the number.  How much, is not known. It also appears that the entry fee allows you to spend no more than 20 minutes with a girl. Longer sessions can be had for an extra fee. Other stuff, such as anal, or weird fetish acts, also requires an extra fee.

Most of the data found is quite old and fees of $234 for as many fucks as you want is probably way out of date. In today's dollars that would be the deal of a lifetime.

People think Amsterdam is the prostitution capital of Europe but Germany  has more prostitutes per capita than any other country on the continent, even more than Thailand.

The Netherlands did legalize prostitution two years after Germany while Sweden and Norway went the other way although it’s legal in Denmark. In the two Scandinavian countries, selling sex is legal but buying it is not. Weird. Iceland, France, and Ireland are following suit. Prostitution laws in Britain are very complex and somewhat byzantine. Some British politicians are pushing to match Sweden’s laws.

My wife and I visited Amsterdam back in the mid ‘80’s and we were quite surprised at the openness of sex. On our first evening there we walked down a tree lined residential street only to see that nearly every house had a picture window in front. Sitting behind the window would be a woman clad only in bra and panties with a red light on over her head. Yep, there really is a “red light” district. I attempted to snap a photo but the woman got a curtain closed over the window before I could get it.

Then the next day m wife and I were walking down a main street in town when a young woman propositioned us. Around the corner from our five-star hotel was a huge store titled “American Supermarket of Sex.” It was closed because it was Sunday but in the window was every sexual device imaginable including sex magazines opened to pages with large color photos of people fucking and sucking.

There was a gym next door to our hotel and my wife wanted to go work out. After she had been gone for a lengthy time I wandered over to the gym. I was directed to a waiting area that was actually a balcony overlooking two separate gym areas, one for men and one for women. I did a double take when I realized almost everybody in both sections was totally nude. I asked my wife about it after she came out and she said nudity was optional.

There is a large park in Amsterdam called Vondelpark. In 2008 public sex was declared legal in the park as long as it took place after the sun was down and was not close to the playground area where children might be present. Also you were required to clean up after yourself. No used condoms left behind. I believe that most of the sex that occurs there is between gay men.

Amsterdam also has a museum of prostitution which is housed in a former brothel.

You can read my story “The First Time I Paid for Pussy,” which was my experience in a brothel in Frankfurt, Germany, way back in 1982. That brothel was similar to one of the current FKK Clubs, but illegal back then, although it appears the authorities looked the other way.
