Curious About the Awakening of the Opposite Sex

I know what boys go through, but what about girls? I only have a few instances to refer to. I heard a neighbor talk about her older cousin and how her panties got wet every time she saw the boy she liked and she didn’t know why.

Is this something most girls experience?  Very curious to know.
