Twin Sisters

We'd grown together, played together,

Lived our lives as one

Since birth

We shared our first

Spring morning's snowdrop

We shared our joy

In Winter's feathery snow

We shared our father's knee

Listening to tales of enchanted forests

We shared our first sad sorrow

Upon the death of our dear cat

We shared our trepidation

That first raw day at school

Now blossoming we shared appearance

Fair skin, fair hair, hazel eyes

Long limbed, each of us

Learning elegance but slowly

That summer evening lying on the mountain by the lake

Skinny dipping was an easy decision to take

But pressing other fancies

Led us to avoid each other's eye

So shy yet so familiar and

So we should be comfortable

Yet our hearts were pounding as we touched

My stomach fluttered at the gentle ecstasy

Of her fingernail traces

Her breath caught as I ran my fingertip along her spine

We dared to kiss first soft lips

Cool and moist but warming, pressing needy

As her tongue began it's exploration

And mine

Our eyes rose with sun on our faces we found

The spring of pleasure at the foot of each delicate mound

Eternity ensued

But fleetingly

And as my body melted into fluid

My sweet twin sister met my gentle hand with shudders of her own

Wonderingly she raised her fingers to her lips

And tasted of my mellifluous outpouring

Now we were woman.
