"Positive" Masturbation

Post by maturebator »

By "positive" masturbation, I mean that all of my masturbation-related activities in life - save for the one time my mom found a porn mag stash of mine - have all been pleasant. Enjoyable. As opposed to negative, traumatic.

On the internet, I've seen quite a bit of postings where the person in question finds an element of arousalin being humiliated. I simply cannot relate to that. Masturbation - for me - has always been an uplifting, energizing activity, and I just can't imagine feeling turned-on by being humiliated.

On a side note, I totally understand the concept of bondage and discipline; the sub relinquishes control to the dom. And it's also suggested that it is the sub who is actually in control. Be that as it may, B&D doesn't - by definition - have to be a negative experience. The dom might require/command that the sub DO something, but there's nothing that says the act has to be debasing.

I have never been chastised or ridiculed for masturbation. I realize there are "different strokes for different folks."
But arousal via ridicule just does not compute for me.

I agree, can't understand the need for humiliation, its the same with porn vids where the men belittle, insult the girl. Sex for me is about love, respect and sharing. Each to their own and all that but it doesn't do it for me.

When I first started masturbating as a teen in the 70's, it was negative. Not to me, but others. I tried a couple of times when I had friends sleep over at my house, to get them to masturbate with me. Needless to say, they never slept over again. Back in the 70's, if you jacked off, you were gay, a fag, and you were alone, at least where I grew up, and this was the Bay Area of California. Fast forward to today and not much has changed. I mean, I can talk about it more being annonymous on the net. I have tried it several times on places that have nothing to do with masturbation, such as a forum or even youtube, or whatever, and I would say something like I just jacked off to her because she was so beautiful, or something like that, and most replies would be totally negative. Funny thing is, 99 percent of the entire population of the Earth masturbates, but still, in this age, maybe 20 percent at most will admit to it. Most still find something wrong with it. Why? I have no idea. I mean, it feels good, it makes you happy, and it is healthy. SO WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH IT? I just dont understand the idiots of today. I guess that is why I am here, because everyone here is not afraid to talk about it and are happy to admit they do what makes them feel good.

I too never understood humiliation of any kind, whether it be specific to masturbation or other forms of sex play, let alone in general. However, I too believe in 'different strokes....'.

I admit i'm not too much much into porn other than maybe some well written erotic stories, so I'm kind of 'out of the loop' but I think with the advent of the internet people are exposed to all kinds of sexual activities that most have never heard of before and their newness can be a source of arousal. ??

As far as masturbation, I've always had a positive view about it, not only for me personally but men and women in general and to see or hear of a 'negative' towards it is kind of sad to me. I'm old enough that when I was a kid most parents didn't teach their kids a lot about sex but I was never told that masturbation was bad either.

I also understand more about B&D but humiliation just doesn't compute with me either. Whether it's solo sex or with a partner, love and respect are a key to a wonderful gift that sex is, including B&D.

No it is the most natural thing in the world. No need for shame or embarrassment.

I remember in the 70s and 80s if you got caught masturbating it meant you were a loner, you couldn't pick up a woman to have sex with so naturally you had to masturbate. However, I noticed that when people started to use cocaine people were more open to admitting masturbation and even to the point that you would have encounters with people of your same gender because of the effect of cocaine.
As you said, 99% of men and women masturbate but there is still an element of wrongfulness and shame about masturbation.
I love to masturbate and having this forum where people are open about masturbation, although hidden in the anonymity, you even admit looking at other cocks, you can have a desire to touch another man, go down on him, swallow, and admit openly about sexual relations with other men.
The first time I went on this forum I jacked for at least 10 days, finding that some stories and comments were very arousing, and some reflected on what I have experienced and lived.
Having said all that, I am going to masturbate right now!
