Okay, I for one don't mind a dry run for a quickie, but if I am going for a long session, I prefer a good lube.
One of my favorites is a coconut moisturizing body lotion, which is fairly thick to start, doesn't run out in minutes, once you have coated your member a couple of times, and will last for an hour or so.

What do Solo-Toucher's use? Proprietary brands, Slick Household Fluids such as butter/cream, good ole Vaseline (I have heard that mineral oil combined with Vaseline is great?), Saliva, tell us your best combination, what works for you?

Just about anything will work in the shower. conditioner is a top choice. when I want to sit at the computer and look at porn and stroke for an extended period, I gotta go for the good stuff. All the products sold in the drug store are ****. they thicken and require soap to remove when the show is over. Pretty messy. I tried several lubes from the porn shop and found many pretty good, though a lot were still real sticky after 20 min of stroking. My favorite is called MOIST. Do not confuse this with a lousy product called WET. Moist goes on slick and stays slick for a while but only requires a couple reapplications to give over an hour of great slick stroking. Hardly any taste or aftertaste if you want to switch to oral while lubed up. when you are done , if you leave it alone it will fade away (absorb) in a little while. If you rinse with plain water it goes away right now. no soap or anything needed.

So, leave the kid stuff behind at the drug store and go to the adult shop and invest a few extra bucks in a good lube. You will not be disappointed. BTW, they cost a lot for just a little....about $12.00 for 2 oz. I smartened up and bought a 16oz pump jar for about 19.00. ONLINE. What a savings....I love it. Plus I dont have to go out to buy more every few weeks.

For a quickie (rare these days as I like to wait a few days and then enjoy a lengthy wank) I don't bother with lubrication. But for my prefered longer sessions (preferably online with a fellow wanker) it has to be olive oil. I find lube rather overrated. Now it can be very hot on occasion but for the most part I stroke it dry. Then again I am uncut so don't really need lube. I've used fuck water I believe it was called and it was useless it was water based and dried up every minute or two. Astro-glide was another I've used but it gets rather messy and dries up rather quickly leaving little clumps of lube which aren't desirable! I found an organic skin conditioner (mostly coconut and olive oil with beeswax) that is made by a local soap maker. It comes in a tiny 1" round container only 3/4" high so it's great for traveling and keeping out of the sight of prying eyes. It starts a bit sticky but a good dab will last me through an entire session. I have used KY warming liquid which isn't bad either.
