Beep when driving past a pretty woman

I don't know what it's like around the rest of the world but in the UK beeping you car horn at a pretty woman is quite common and as im a driver for a living I participate quite regular.
I've seen women beep at fit men too so it's both ways
But today I was wondering what other people including women think to this?
I personally thought it no harm and just says to them "looking good" however out of respect I wouldn't beep at a women with a child present I don't know why just it dosent feel right!
What's your opinion? Guys and girls?
