Truncated bio on the profile page

Apparently there's a character limit on the bio information that can be seen on profile pages. Is this a bug, or is there a link I haven't found?

Hi, yes there is a character limit. You are welcome to use your status posts, story publications, and forum posts to convey more information about yourself as well.

Hi Trelaina,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I wasn't so much concerned about my own bio, which isn't, as about how some others are truncated, sometimes so much so that it wouldn't seem as though they'd exceeded a limit.

Sorry, but I have no idea on the character limit.
If someone is bored, they could publish various bios until they found out what the limits are.
