Response to 'Back in the 50's'
I just read the story from the man who told of his experiences 'Back in the 50's'. I'd like to say I feel extremely LUCKY to have been born during the early 60's and to have grown up during the sexual revolution and women's liberation and equality. Though, things have changed a lot, there is still the good old double standard out there - it's alive and well. Just this very day, at work, I overheard a 22 year old male I work with talking about a female he knows and he said to the other guy he was talking to 'oh, no, she wouldn't do that, she's a good girl' referring to whether or not he'd had sex with her by the 3rd date. I guess if a woman does it on the 3rd date she's 'bad'. What does that make the man I wonder. Is he 'bad' too? Why do males condemn women for being sexually active - I mean, they are only doing the same thing the guy's mother did, right? Does he condemn his mother for the act too, or did she do it when she was 'supposed' to?I do think though society has come a long way. They have come to realize that these things are human nature. If we weren't supposed to do it, we wouldn't be able to. People are much more open minded than they were back in the 50's thank goodness. If I had to feel guilty about the things I've done, it would be horrible. And I don't consider myself a 'slut' for doing them.This morning I had a great solo session - I used my vibe and my fingers and a pillow and even decided to call my friend on her cell and talk to her while I played.
