Embarrassing situation...
The day I turned eighteen I was having my head shaved for Navy boot camp. After boot camp it was off to submarine school in Groton, CT and that was followed by a year of electronic technical school. Until we reached the technical school we were forced to live on base in hotel type barracks, but after we started the technical school we were allowed to move off base.
