I'm a singer-songwriter and I was given the name and number of a guy, Joe, who had a home studio and was happy to record a song I had written and make a demo for me. I don't make a lot of money as a waitress and he was happy to give me a break cost wise as he was a friend of a friend. This all happened early last summer. I went round with another musician who was playing some accompaniment and when Joe opened the door my stomach went all funny. He was cute. My age, my height, brown hair and the most enormous and beautiful blue eyes. We were kind of shy with each other and I think he thought I was pretty cute too! It was nice. So we spent a few hours recording and he was so helpful and interested in my music. The time flew by. The friend who'd come with me had to go so he left leaving me alone with Joe. Joe asked me if I wanted a beer and I said sure. I kicked off my shoes and relaxed on the sofa in his living room. He was showing me how he was doing all the mixing and stuff and it was really interesting. I felt really comfortable with him. My mind wandered to how it would feel to have him kiss me and touch me and I was aware of how nice it would be to lie down with him on the sofa and really get comfortable. He'd broken off with his girlfriend the previous month and she had moved out of their place. I could sense a real vulnerability about him and how much he would have loved me to put my arms around him. I felt pretty vulnerable myself and would have liked nothing better too. I'm a horny girl at the best of times and sometimes, well, we all, to put it bluntly, want to have someone 'stick it into us'. However, the truth of the matter was he was way too nice a guy to mess around with and, as I was in love with someone else, I really decided that it wouldn't be fair and it was perhaps best all round if I got my jacket, kissed his cheek and went home. Which I did. I've been around the block enough times to know when to say no and draw the line. I haven't seen him since then but, he's asked after me recently via our mutual friend.. and he's still single.....
