This story is a break and leap forward from putting together memoirs of my life in somewhat of a chronological order. I recently retired after working over 45 years, more if you talk part time in high school. My wife is still working at lest until this coming July, which provides me with quite a bit of time alone home for "me time." September in southern California is often our hottest time of the year. It is not unusual for air conditioning to be running at 1:00 am so you can sleep. At times it begins to feel cold inside. It was around 10:30 in the morning.
